Project Coordinator,
Program Support Team

Job Description
The Project Coordinator’s overall responsibility is to provide financial and administrative backstopping to field-based health programs in the Southern Africa region, Eastern Europe, and South East Asia region. The Coordinator may support other activities/projects as assigned. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide financial, administrative and technical support to the headquarters and field-based project staff
- Work closely with the Technical Monitor, Country Directors, Bethesda Senior Program Officer and field staff to monitor program implementation and results
- Serve as link and point of contact between URC headquarters, subcontractors/collaborators and the project field office
- Carry out field-visits as assigned by the Technical Monitor and work collaboratively with project staff
- Track project expenses, review and process monthly field reports, prepare and/or analyze quarterly financial reports, and assist in preparing budgets
- Working closely with URC’s Purchasing Agent, arrange procurement and shipment of commodities to the field office and review local procurement documentation
- Assist with recruiting, hiring and briefing of consultants
- Review and/or prepare purchase orders and submit to supervisor or Technical Monitor and others as required for approval
- Assist in preparation of reports and project deliverables, including editing, proofreading, and coordinating translation services
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of technical documents and PR publications about the project
- Assist with proposals and provide support to other projects as needed
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in field related to development such as Business Administration, International Relations, or Public Health, PLUS at least two years experience in project support activities utilizing budgeting skills and Excel spreadsheets and applying USAID or other U.S. government procedures and regulations. Relevant additional experience may substitute for educational requirements. Fluency in another major development language is highly desired. A Master's degree may substitute for a year of relevant experience. Overseas experience working with international projects coordinating administrative areas preferred. Computer literacy required in Excel, Microsoft Word, with Power Point desired.
