Contract Agency: The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

Contract Overview

URC holds a contract with the Global Fund (GF) to provide consulting services for operations and grants management in southern Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean. In both regions, URC works in partnership with the Fund to strengthen country coordinating mechanisms to better manage programs and provide oversight of local organizations that receive GF funding.

URC Services

• Conduct program/site reviews to confirm that appropriate data management systems are in place
• Perform spot checks to determine whether beneficiaries received services as reported
• Conduct targeted assessments of monitoring and evaluation systems and verify data 
• Use audit findings to identify any need for capacity building or system strengthening
• Ensure financial accountability through results reporting
• Develop recommendations for improvements based on audit findings
• Design follow-up processes to help ensure that improvements are implemented
