En el Camino del Alcohol allaras las Muerte

Student illustration from En el Camino del Alcohol allaras las Muerte"...I think that each time an alcoholic takes a drink, that person is himself being consumed by alcohol, as if the bottle of alcohol were consuming more and more of the person until he disappears and the only thing that remains is the bottle of alcohol..."

Abiud Garcia H.

Below are excerpts and graphics from En el Camino del Alcohol allaras las Muerte, a series of booklets offering ideas and feelings on the consequences of alcohol abuse and importance of prevention. The narratives relate the students' experiences with alcohol. The images were created by the students to visually express their history. The art project was done under the guidance of the visiting artist Maria Barbosa and the art instructor at CHR, Robert Bass. A set of three complementary booklets was designed and produced by Maria Barbosa. The booklets were developed by the Pennsylvania Migratory and Seasonal Farmworkers with Disabilities Project.
