This technical brief describes how the Better Health Services Project (BHS) has improved maternal and newborn health in Cambodia. Key achievements include: improving access to and provision of emergency obstetric and newborn care services; strengthening skilled birth attendance through policy development and training; providing information about family planning methods; and removing financial barriers to health services. BHS is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and implemented by the University Research Co., LLC (URC).
