This brief describes the work of the USAID Georgia TB Prevention Project in supporting a range of connected health platforms, including mobile phones, tablets, and web-based learning systems to optimize the sharing of information, images, and data among healthcare professionals and with patients, regardless of location. This work aims to improve the detection of suspected TB cases in health facilities, strengthen the implementation of Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course Strategy (DOTS), improve access to treatment and care for MDR-TB patients, and update the infrastructure of recently established private treatment sites to meet TB best-practice standards and provide infection control.
