Integrating TB and HIV Services in the General Health Care System in Russia

File Type .pdf | File Size 200.75 KB

This report describes the work of the Quality Assurance Project to develop a municipal model for the delivery of integrated treatment, care, and support services to people with HIV/AIDS. Working in four cities, the project worked with selected organizations to develop a system ensuring that all HIV-positive patients are tested for TB, receive Isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT), and are treated for TB if necessary. TB screening and IPT increased, and linkages were established with nongovernmental organizations that refer patients for TB testing (2008, 2 pages).
