The World Health Organization Patient Safety Programme and the Harvard School of Public Health commissioned HCI to write this paper on how to effectively adopt simple, high-impact health care interventions.  This paper, written by Dr. M. Rashad Massoud and Katlyn Donohue of the USAID Health Care Improvement Project, in collaboration with Joe McCannon of the Institute for Health Care Improvement, discusses several illustrative approaches for adopting and spreading proven health care approaches and lessons learned during the process of applying them.
