Tackling TB Among Children

This technical brief outlines gaps in pediatric tuberculosis (TB) management, identifies steps that should be taken to reduce the number of pediatric TB cases, and outlines the USAID TB CARE II Project's accomplishments and goals related to pediatric TB. TB Care II is a five-year cooperative agreement led by URC. Key strategies of this program include:

  • assisting countries in rapid scale up of program implementation,
  • systems strengthening and capacity building; integrating content of care with process of care,
  • rapid scaling up of best practices through district-based approaches,
  • leveraging partner resources, and
  • reaching vulnerable populations with quality services.
