File Type .pdf | File Size 101.07 KB

This describes the integrated TB/HIV component of the USAID TB CARE II project. A key objective of the project’s TB/HIV activities is to expand the delivery of high quality, integrated TB/HIV services. This is achieved by establishing interventions to efficiently prevent, diagnose, and treat TB in HIV settings and HIV in TB settings; advancing TB/HIV integration at policy, program, and service delivery levels; and accelerating implementation of the 3I’s (Three I’s)- Intensified case-finding, Isoniazid prevention therapy (IPT), and Infection control.

The USAID TB Care II Project is a five-year cooperative agreement led by URC. Key strategies of this program include: assisting countries in rapid scale up of program implementation; systems strengthening and capacity building; integrating content of care with process of care; rapid scaling up of best practices through district-based approaches; leveraging partner resources; and reaching vulnerable populations with quality services.
