Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka’s strong commitment to providing its population with access to health care is reflected in the country’s track record of achieving its development goals. URC first began working in Sri Lanka to improve population health. URC’s first project in the country was the USAID-funded Primary Health Care Operations Research Project (PRICOR), which provided guidance in strengthening the country’s primary health care services. In 1985, URC also led the Asia Family Planning Operations Research Project, which provided technical support to improve, through operations research, the cost-effectiveness and user accessibility of family planning programs. Since then, URC provided technical assistance in Sri Lanka to monitor and evaluate programmatic data with the Global Fund’s Data Quality Audit Tool.
