The lack of a solid health system in Argentina can compromise the quality of health care delivered to the population. URC’s work in Argentina began with the Rehabilitation of the Infrastructure of the Ministry of Health Project in 1995, assessing health education in the capital and provincial regions. From 2007–2012, URC was involved with the Global Fund’s initiative to improve Argentina’s ability to manage country programs and provide oversight of local organizations that received funding. The technical assistance focused on coordination, communication, conflict of interest, leadership, developing partnerships, data quality management, monitoring and evaluation, oversight, and overall management.
