Transparency in Health Engagement Project - Interinstitutional Roundtable
On November 14, The Project, in collaboration with the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution, the High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Audit of Assets and Conflicts of Interest, and the Office of the Ombudsperson, organized the second Inter-Institutional Round Table on Strengthening Institutional Transparency and Citizens Engagement for Improved Health Care Outcomes – Challenges and Opportunities. During the Roundtable, all three institutions and the Project subgrantees presented an overview of their transparency and citizen engagement mechanisms with a focus on those developed by The Project. There were around 40 participants representing partner institutions and civil society organizations and media present. Both the Ombudsperson and the Hight State Audit Chairman, stated the importance of this Project’s Assistance and requested USAID to continue the project in 2019.
