This technical brief describes how the Better Health Services (BHS) project uses Conditional Cash Transfers (CCTs) to overcome financial barriers and increase the demand for maternal and child health (MCH) services in Cambodia. The brief details the design and implementation of the CCT program in three operational districts in Cambodia and the results from June 2011 to April 2012.

The BHS Project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by University Research Co., LLC . BHS focuses on improving quality of care and increase the use of public health facilities, with particular emphasis on increasing equity of access for the poor.
