USAID Defeat TB-supported CSOs have established functional partnerships with 114 private health facilities in the three target districts for TB prevention, care, and treatment services. The partnerships have led to the identification of TB cases that would have otherwise been missed. As a result of the CSO and private health facility collaboration, a total of 33 patients with TB were detected between January and March 2019.

CSOs have been instrumental in building the capacity of private health facility workers to implement TB services. Through the course of their partnerships, CSOs have provided TB training sessions, onsite mentoring and coaching for private health workers, and job aids and supplies to support TB service provision to the community. Due to the CSOs’ efforts, there are now over 160 trained TB service providers closer to the population in the CSO supported locations.
