Of the approximately 2.22 million vaccine-eligible people who are 18 or older in the East Central Uganda, 1.77 million, or 69%, had received at least one dose of the vaccine by mid-March, up from 18% before the campaign. More than half of the vaccine-eligible are fully vaccinated.
Attendees at the regional Kaliro and Mayuge accelerated mass COVID-19 vaccination events cited a variety of reasons why they opted to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
