Somos Ciudad, URC’s Safe Cities Project in Guatemala, helped reduce crime and violence in Guatemala by improving coordination among local government, civil society, and community groups. The project operated in high-risk urban areas where crime and violence undermine governance and economic growth. Project kick-off activities included large murals painted by local artists.

More than 60 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) benefitted through the Laos Business Ecosystem Partnership Fund. Working with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Department of SME Promotion, digital skills training were provided to SMEs. Additional training programs were developed for chambers of commerce on policy advocacy. Business enabling fairs helped create an environment to enhance business development.
