Supporting Women Living with HIV/AIDS

Conducted activities to help women living with HIV/AIDS remain in treatment. Key activities included:

  1. Transporting the women to medical appointments
  2. Developing graphics for curriculum for Latinas & African American women to address gaps in knowledge about HIV/ AIDS
  3. Conducting outreach to local businesses and community groups as a way to reduce the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS that often causes people living with HIV/ AIDS to not initiate treatment or to discontinue treatment.

This project was also known as “Project SAFE – HIV/AIDS Prevention Program”.
