Technical Information for Population in the Private Sector (TIPPS)

Overview and Objectives

As a subcontractor on the TIPPS Project, URC helped labor unions, private voluntary organizations, employer groups, and companies in gaining a better understanding of the benefits and costs of providing family planning services to their constituents.  The technical assistance provided by the project included market research, cost benefit analyses, cost projections, management training, and linkages to appropriate resources to begin service delivery.

Technical assistance and training to private companies and government agencies to facilitate investments by private, for-profit companies in family planning and maternal and child health services for employees and dependents.

At the time this project was executed, Palladium was know as the Futures Group and the Democratic Republic of the Congo was called Zaire.
