The Maram Project: Healthier Palestinian Families

Overview and Objectives

The Maram Project worked to build Palestinian capacity to deliver health services, including during emergencies. With consortium partners, the USAID Mission, the Ministry of Health of Palestine, local nongovernmental organizations, and networks of village health workers, URC conducted research that assessed health services in the West Bank and Gaza. The research established definitions of health care quality that enabled comparisons among public, private, and United Nations relief services.
