Mali
URC has been working to guide Mali in strengthening its primary health care services since 1981, when our non-profit affiliate, the Center for Human Services, launched the Primary Health Care Operations Research Project. This work continued under the USAID-funded Quality Assurance Project and its successors, the Health Care Improvement and Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems projects, from 1990–Present.
These projects worked with the Ministry of Health to improve the quality of maternal and newborn services in public-sector maternities. URC has worked to improve health care, strengthen health systems, and advance the frontier of improvement science.
