URC’s work in Romania began in 2005, when it implemented the USAID’s Romania Health Care Reform Program. For the project, URC worked in partnership with Health Strategies International and collaborating organizations to help Romania reallocate resources to its primary health care systems and strengthen and improve health care services.

URC provided technical assistance to the government to implement key health system reforms related to health policy and implementation, quality assurance, pharmaceutical management, and advocacy. Our work improved primary health care services, trained providers and national pharmaceutical managers, and empowered citizens and policymakers to advocate for better health care.
