URC first became active in Morocco through USAID’s far-reaching Quality Assurance Project (QAP), which provided global leadership for health care quality assurance in USAID-supported programs. In 1994, URC launched another set of USAID-funded projects, Morocco Family Planning and Maternal Child Health and the Project for Regional Management of Health Services. Through the Regional Management of Health Services Project, URC went on to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health to improve the quality of reproductive health and maternal and child health care.
