Global Fund Consulting Services
Overview
URC strengthened Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCM) in Latin America, southern Africa, and the Andean and Caribbean regions by improving their ability to manage country programs and provide oversight of local organizations that received funding. The technical assistance focused on coordination, communication, conflict of interest, leadership, developing partnerships, data quality management, monitoring and evaluation, oversight, and overall management.
Key Activities
- Fostered communication and coordination among the CCMs, the principal recipient, and the local fund agent
- Technical assistance to Global Fund Geneva
- Documented innovative strategies and partnerships in recipient countries
- Conducted training in how to strengthen oversight
- Provided technical assistance to CCMs and Principal Recipients in project oversight/monitoring and evaluation using the Global Fund Dashboard tool, including budgeting, supervision and best practices
- Data quality management

The project supports country coordinating mechanisms to strengthen their oversight role.
